IMPORTING VIDEOS ONTO CANVA

Using Screencast-O-Matic, I created a 3.5 minute instructional video on how to add a video to a template on Canva for my document design class. I chose this particular modality because it is one of the most popular forms for easy instructions as well as covering a wide audience. The static instructions will not be as effective, because the images will only go so far with the program. Canva is a very engaging site, so it will be easier for the audience to follow along with the screen cast rather than a listed set of instructions. Screen cast is also an effective way to show how to use programs to a wide audience and marginalized communities. While language may be a barrier for written instructions, screen cast offers the exact way on how the instructions are done, so even without the sound the audience can still understand the instructions.
