BRIANNA PALMER

As a senior at Utah State University, I have spent the past three-and-a-half years preparing for a career in the technical communication field. My education explored the different careers and opportunities technical communication has to offer. For example, I have written many grant proposals, given lectures, created research reports, and learned new technologies. Recently, I was able to cultivate my experience even more with an internship that allows me to write instructions on how to build concrete pumps. I still hold this position, and despite the internship being less than a year, the knowledge I have gained is substantial and vital for my career. It has given me insight on the mechanics of a complex machine and the ability to self-edit as I write. As a hard-working and self-motivated employee, I understand what needs to be done and know how to accomplish the tasks ahead. I am currently seeking a position as a technical writer/documenter on writing instructions on building machines.
